Some artists create art specifically for products and that doesn’t work for me. I end up with blah art.  I have to feel something for the subject. Oftentimes it’s how sunlight falls on a subject. Whether it is a floral, a still life, or a pet.  An acquaintance of mine, said,  “there is something about your work that seems to shine from within. It glows.”   And when she said that, it made my heart smile just a little,  because she got it.   She didn’t know quite what it was, or how to describe it, but she saw it.  

It’s the glow of sunlight.

My art isn’t right for every product category.  But you’d be surprised what sometimes turns out, when I start thinking, “Now what can this be . . . .”
